Release notes

Version 1.43

  • The extension now displays the current version number directly within the interface, giving users immediate visibility into which version they are running. Clicking the version number opens the full release history, allowing users to review the latest updates and confirm they are on the most current version.
  • The side-by-side Compare feature has been upgraded to support files up to 1.5 MB in size, significantly expanding the range of documents that can be compared directly within the extension without any external tools.
  • Every feature within Dumping Cloud now includes a direct link to its corresponding how-to blog. Users can access step-by-step guidance for any feature without leaving the extension — reducing the learning curve and accelerating onboarding for new users.
  • The ZIP feature now displays the file extension for each file listed within the compression panel, giving users clear visibility of the file type before creating the archive.

Version 1.40

  • Users can now convert files from one format to another directly within Dumping Cloud — without downloading, opening an external tool, or leaving Salesforce. The converted file can be saved back to the same Salesforce record or downloaded directly to the desktop.
  • Users can now generate the Base64 encoded content of any Salesforce file in a single click. The encoded output can be copied to the clipboard for immediate use in Apex code, API integrations, or Lightning components — or saved as a .txt file directly to the Salesforce record or desktop.
  • The Object-level file view now includes a comprehensive Advanced Filters panel, enabling users to precisely locate files and attachments across an entire object using the following filter parameters: Date Range — Filter by Created Date or Last Modified Date User — Filter by the user who created or last modified the file Keywords — Search file names and content using keyword matching Parent Object Fields — Filter files based on field values of the parent record they are associated with.
  • Dumping Cloud is now officially available across three major browsers. Users can install and use the full extension on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge — bringing the complete Dumping Cloud file management experience to a significantly wider audience of Salesforce users, regardless of their preferred browser. Google Chrome — Install on Chrome Web Store Mozilla Firefox — Available on the Firefox Add-ons Marketplace Microsoft Edge — Available on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store

Version 1.39

  • The Watermark feature has been enhanced at both the Record level and Object level to support bulk watermark operations. Users can now apply text or image watermarks to multiple files and attachments simultaneously in a single operation, significantly reducing the time required to watermark large sets of documents.

Version 1.38

  • Preview images, docx and PDFs directly within the extension panel. No download required. No new tab opened.
  • Copy files and attachments to any record within the same Org — across the same object type or different object types — creating a fully independent copy on the destination record.
  • Relocate files and attachments from one record to another across the same or different object types. The file is removed from the source record and placed on the destination in a single operation.
  • Split any PDF or Word document into multiple separate files using defined page ranges, directly from the Object-level view. No external tools or downloads required.
  • Compare any two files side by side in a synchronised split-screen view, without leaving the extension.
